Final # 2 - B2

This is me linking prims.
I had my hand raised the whole class asking questions.
I asked if she could show us how to build a house. But she said no due to the space and my other class mates. So I asked what we could build and she came up with an ice cream. First we created a cylinder than under the object tab we tapered the dimesions to make our cone.
Next we created a cylinder and moved it on top of our cones!
In class as always there's always a clown. He made his boxes into a stairway to heaven! LOL
I know but it was funny at the time!
My Ice cream cone.

Final # 2 - B1

Got a hands on lesson on how to build at the Dreams region in SL.
The teachers name was Dream Catcher Ciebird McCullough. She was very nice and patient with me.
Thats me picking a shape.
Next she taught us how to stretch the shape. Then how to do it evenly by selecting Strecth both sides.
Next we learned how to duplicate shapes. By holding down the shift key and dragging.

SL CRASH

Perfect way to finish class with my SL crashing not letting me finish my final. But after many reboots and a SL upgrade which cleaned out my inventory I was back!!

Final # 5

Being a gamer and a technical person I like how the market is rapidly increasing every couple of months. I have taken 3 online courses at Boston College and have enjoyed them immensely. Immersive Education is a great tool especially to students that don't have the time to commute all the time to campus.
10 years from now I can't even begin to imagine the progress that will have be made. In 2018 if the inflation and the rates of Colleges still increasing people will be looking for a cheaper more effective way to learn; and that happens I believe a surge in online colleges will boom. Programs like ImmersiveEducation.org will be in the fore front of this movement. By that time Second Life will be bug free and running high definition quality graphics with out freezing or slowing down the cpu process. It will be called SLX (Second Life 10.0) and avatars will be like email address everyone will have multiples.
If technology doubles in power and capability every 12 months, then we will be in an age like the matrix where we learn how to do something by just getting it loaded into your brain. Hopefully nothing that graphic but something like an upload and we will have instantly mastered a subject or an art. But seriously, textbooks will no longer be used and all course material will be online.
So for all you reading this blog what are you waiting for, get Immersed!!

Final #2 A

So i traveled to popular spots with many people to ask them how to build. Not much help.
After searching for Sandbox I found sights that wanted for you to pay them for there tutorials.
Next I did a search and found this Region called Dreams.
I placed a call at the help desk and was informed that a free class was being taught tonight at 4pm SL time.
Here is the class info. Excited about the SL class and learning to build. I'll keep you posted
